Nothing else really matters to a child’s health if your family situation is not balanced. You can breastfeed, give your child the best foods, and keep your children active, but if your family and surroundings are toxic, then all that other stuff doesn’t matter.

That’s why they say older parents make the best parents. Older parents make schedules, go to sleep on time, have eating habits that are better, less toxic music, and overall behavior. 

Traditionally, in our communities, we would have achieved healthy behaviors at a very young age but a lot of us lost our way or righteousness. We need to diligently change that to build a healthier nation.

My name is Yo'ela Israel and I am the owner and Master Herbalist of Cocoa Fresh Ancient Herbal Therapy. I am a postpartum doula, wife, and mother of 5 boys by way of all c-sections. My passion, in this course, is making sure mom and dad have a functioning knowledge and relationship with their baby throughout their young lives.
